Kantha

"Kantha" is an East Indian handcraft, making something new from something old, involving layering, patching and repairing by hand-stitching pieces of existing fabric together. Lines of running stitches are sewn all over, to reinforce and secure the layers, giving Kantha pieces their distinct and recognisable texture. Each one is completely unique.
