Why Universal Works?
Universal Works is a down-to-earth but dedicated group of people who love what they do, and love what they wear. We put great design, community and trying to do the right thing at the heart of what we do, always approaching our work with responsibility, passion and a sense of humour. We are constantly striving to drive a culture we are proud of, and whether we are having a chat around the coffee machine or a company wide meeting, everyone feels heard. A creative bunch with a keen eye for clothing, there is a real excitement around the future of UW and how we will all be involved in getting there.
Our perks include competitive salaries and holiday allowance, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, flexible working policies and (the one you were waiting for) a very decent clothing discount and allowance. Staff are given the opportunity to give back, with plenty of charity volunteering days and initiatives.
Our growing team work from an office that has some of the best views in Nottingham, a warehouse and design studio not far from our HQ, and our stores in Nottingham and London. We are stocked across the globe from Los Angeles to Seoul—so you will never be too far from a Universal Works product anywhere in the world.

What we are looking for:
We're looking for a creative, social-first content creator to join our marketing team and help bring the Universal Works story to life across Instagram, TikTok and emerging platforms.
Given you’ll be out capturing content, in the studio, on location, we're flexible on your base, provided you can be in Nottingham a minimum of two days a week to work closely with the team and products. Applicants from across the UK are welcome to apply, so long as regular commuting to Nottingham is realistic for you.
You'll capture the people, products, places and everyday moments that make Universal Works what it is, and help us tell more stories, more often, in a way that feels native to each platform while staying true to the brand.
About the Role:
The way people discover and engage with brands has changed. Short-form video and authentic, social-first storytelling now play a vital role in building awareness, community and connection.
Some of our most successful content has come from simple moments captured in real time: store visits, meeting collaborators, time in the studio, events, and everyday life within the business. The challenge is creating enough of it, consistently.
As Social Content Creator, you will identify these moments, shape them into engaging stories, and publish them across our channels – from concept through to delivery.
What You will Do:
· Capture and edit social-first content for Instagram, TikTok and other platforms, using a smartphone as the primary tool Produce content from events, store visits, photoshoots, collaborations, travel and day-to-day life at Universal Works.
· Develop content concepts and storyboards that support marketing priorities and brand storytelling.
· Edit self-shot and existing footage into platform-native content.
· Support campaign launches with complementary social-first assets.

· Work closely with the wider marketing team on broader brand activity.
· Assist with content planning, asset organisation and scheduling.
· Travel regularly within the UK and occasionally internationally to capture content for stores, events, collaborations and marketing activity.
About you:
We care more about creativity, potential and demonstrated content creation ability than years of industry experience. You might be a recent graduate, a self-taught creator, or someone who's built an engaged audience of their own. What matters is knowing how to tell stories that people genuinely want to watch.
What We are Looking For:

· Able to turn both self-shot and existing footage into compelling stories
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage people naturally on camera
· Working knowledge of creator equipment such as microphone, gimbals, tripods and portable lighting
· Pro-active, organised and capable of working independently.
· A genuine interest in clothing, style and contemporary culture
· A strong understanding of Universal Works and what makes the brand unique
· An understanding of the nuances of the brand and the audience we speak to
· Experience developing content concepts, storyboards and narrative-led content
· Photography skills and experience creating still imagery
· Experience using professional cameras
