First established in Tokyo, Japan in 1998, all of Mikia’s jewellery is hand-made in Japan using natural stones, vintage beads and precious stones. Mikia’s designer Aki Mitsubayashi takes inspiration from her travels around the world; the people she meets, culture and the things she finds.

Come with us as we check in for another season at Hotel Deluxe, our favourite fictional travel destination. This time, we step into a vintage ski lodge, where (of course) everyone wears Universal Works—from those manning the front desks (and mopping up melted snow) to the guests booked in for mountaineering day trips and evening soirees.

Fleece has become a Universal Works all-season staple, and with good reason. Functional (and warm), it is the ideal layer for cooler days and nights.

Suiting.

While many of our pieces match, we would not necessarily consider ourselves makers of suits in the traditional sense. Our approach to suiting nods to formal wear, but more often than not, our pieces lend themselves to a more laid-back, easy-to-wear aesthetic, or relaxed tailoring as we like to call it.

Ties

So, you have your suit sorted. Time for the final touch—one of our ties. Purposely asymmetric, with an off-centre dot print, these are the ideal companion to any celebration.
