A. SOCIETY.

We don’t do eyewear. At least that is what we used to say. Until A. SOCIETY, Hong Kong based eyewear experts, arrived at our showroom with some very exciting ideas and a suitcase full of sunglasses.

cableami® is a Japanese hat maker founded by designers Shuji and Tomoka Sadamori in 2008.

The 'Flower Mountain' story began thanks to a meeting between designers Keisuke Ota from Tokyo & Yang Chao from Shanghai, who united by a love of mountain trekking, music and of course, footwear, decided to pursue creating a functional and captivating new style of footwear.

F/CE® is the creation of our Japanese friend Satoshi Yamane. We became good friends with Satoshi when he first bought Universal Works for his super cool shop 'Root General Store' in Tokyo.

Hand-made in Rome, Italy by their founder Federica Silvi, Hanami takes its name from the traditional Japanese custom of admiring cherry blossoms, which, as Federica tells us, was a strong influence for creating her pieces.

Harvest.

harvest is an independent skincare brand founded in 2009 by Katie Fisher. After many years of working within the beauty and cosmetic industry, Katie started 'harvest'- which itself evolved from her own experimentations with natural ingredients to help relieve her own allergies and skin disorders.

The latest master-piece x Universal Works collection has just landed. The third we have created together, this is a continuation of friendship and shared values.

First established in Tokyo, Japan in 1998, all of Mikia’s jewellery is hand-made in Japan using natural stones, vintage beads and precious stones. Mikia’s designer Aki Mitsubayashi takes inspiration from her travels around the world; the people she meets, culture and the things she finds.

Novesta are back on our books after a short hiatus, and ten years after creating our very first footwear with them.

Organic Handloom have been making their footwear by hand in Japan for over 70 years, focusing on “the comfort of wearing and walking”, while using quality materials.

Produced in the French Alps for over 100 years using artisan techniques, Paraboot are known for their chunky Norwegian welted construction, the luxury leathers they use and their traditional production methods. (And for how easy they are to style.)

Our collaboration with inner down-wear experts TAION celebrates the meeting of Japanese and British culture. A shared curiosity that runs through the collection itself, with each piece reversible—two sides to every story.

Our latest drop of laid-back moccasins is the result of a conversation between us and Zardus, the makers behind our past collaborations with Yogi Footwear. While Yogi might cease to exist as a brand, that same spirit lives on in this new collection.
